The Trust awards grants up to $10,000 for innovative new program ideas and program improvements that directly impact Trust beneficiaries. If these funds will be used as seed money to start a program, the grant request must include a realistic sustainability plan to continue the program after the grant ends.
Applicants for small project grants include nonprofit organizations or local governmental entities who serve Trust beneficiaries.

Applications are accepted three times per calendar year. Applications must be completed and received by the Trust office no later than 4:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- March 1
- July 1
- November 1
Note: any applications received after the deadline will be held and considered in the next group of applications, unless withdrawn by the applicant.
